Many of our special needs patients require sedation or even hospital dental care which we have available to ensure they get the best oral health care.

It is vital that those who have special needs receive professional dental care treatments. Many have difficulty performing their daily oral hygiene, making it even more important that they receive routine cleanings and checkups at a dental office. Our team is sensitive to all our patients’ needs and we take extra care to work with any patient that has disabilities to ensure they get the highest level of dental treatments.

Dentistry for the Developmentally Disabled

Not all dentists have the training or ability to perform dental treatments for the developmentally disabled. Not only does it require compassion and understanding, it can also mean using specialized techniques to perform dental treatments. We offer sedation dentistry which can relax our patients that are developmentally disabled while we perform their dental services. In some cases, hospital dentistry is required for the safety of our special needs patients and we offer that at Columbia Dental Center as well.
